1. About these terms

MyTradeFix is an online marketplace that introduces homeowners in the United Kingdom to independent tradespeople. By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms.

2. Our role

We provide the platform only. We are not a party to any contract you enter with a tradesperson or customer, we do not carry out work, and we do not supervise, employ or subcontract tradespeople.

Quotes are prepared by independent tradespeople. They are not prices set or guaranteed by MyTradeFix.

3. Accounts

You must give accurate information, keep your login secure and be at least 18 years old. Business accounts must be operated by someone authorised to act for the business.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, misuse the messaging system or submit false verification documents.

4. Jobs and quotes

Homeowners post jobs free of charge. You are responsible for describing the work accurately, including access, materials and timing.

Accepting a quote through MyTradeFix records your intention to hire that tradesperson. The contract for the work itself is between you and them.

5. Verification

Verification badges reflect documents supplied to us at a point in time and checked in good faith. They are not a warranty of workmanship, current insurance cover or ongoing qualification. You should carry out your own checks before work begins.

6. Reviews and content

Reviews may only be left by a homeowner whose job ran through MyTradeFix. Content must be honest, lawful and free of abuse, discrimination or personal data about third parties.

We may hide or remove content that is reported and found to breach these terms, and a tradesperson may publish one response per review.

7. Fees for tradespeople

Membership plans, pay-per-lead purchases and featured placements are charged as described on our pricing page. Featured and sponsored placements are always labelled.

Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. Lead purchases are non-refundable once the job contact details have been released, except where required by law.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Subject to that, MyTradeFix is not liable for the acts, omissions, delays or workmanship of any tradesperson or customer, or for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will post the revised version here. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, unless local consumer law provides otherwise.
